Hello,   I am having a problem setting up a polycom 2200 sip conference phone at one of my remote offices. We currently have allworx phones setup off of the main office network using the plug and play key but Allworx doesn't sell a conference type phone like Polycom. The Polycom I have works great in the main office network but I don't see a way to put the plug n play key in the setup of the Polycom. I have contacted Allworx and the reseller we got the system from and they have been absolutely no help. They have no alternative's to give me and basically didn't even know what Polycom was, which is strange because its the most popular brand of conference phones by far. I have no problem buying a different type of conference phone if it will work but I figured if a Polycom won't work then most other brands won't either.

Any help/advice would be most welcome

Thank you

Hello rcpland,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am not familiar with the Number / Model of Polycom phone you mentioned below so I am unsure if this is a Model that supports SIP or a analog conference phone.

If this is a SIP capable phone and utilizing a popular search engine with the keywords as follows:

allworx sip polycom

shows already as the second search result multiple post's in your providers community explaining how to setup a Polycom phone.

Our own FAQ details here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

on how to register with a SIP server once the registration details are known.

Did anyone figure this out?  I'm having this exact problem and the other forums didn't help.  The reason why this is unique is because this is a REMOTE phone that we're trying to setup.  Thanks in advance for all your help.

We're looking for a "Plug 'n' Play Secret Key" field within the Polycom Soundstation IP 5000s.

Hello YouGotNoobed,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Plug 'n' Play Secret Key is not a terminology that I am familiar with and I can only advise you to seek support on this manner from your SIP Provider.

The minimum registration details are describe in the FAQ post already provided.

If your Provider advertises their services to be compatible with our SIP phones then they need to explain to you how to set this up.
