Hello,

I have a problem with the backlight of a sidecar. I have one IP650 with two Backlit Expansion Modules. The backlight from the first sidecar flickers like a broken fluorescent lamp. It is every time the first one which is directly connected to the phone, even when I change the order. It will start to flicker immediately after a reboot.

I must use firmware 3.2.6 with bootrom 4.3.1 and the phone is auto provisioned over TFTP. The phone use a power supply and in the boot setup menu is EM Power enabled.

I have seen a former post about the sidecars with a problem alike my ones => here <= but unfortunately without an answer. Can anyone help me and have an idea?

Thanks

  Martin

Hello MartinS,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Can you confirm that you are using a 48V Power Supply on your SoundPoint IP 650?

Usually these kind of cases need to be escalated to Polycom Support via your Polycom Reseller.

Our Support Team would require a <mac>-boot.log and a <mac.>-app.log and the Phone would need the Log Levels of the module ttrs and soem set at level 2.

In addition all Configuration files that are loaded by the phone should be supplied as well.

A video showing the issue may also be useful.

All information on Log's, Syslog etc. can be found in the FAQ.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
