Hi I have recently purchased a second hand polycom vvx411 phone

I am wanting to connect this to my phone provider but feel they are trying to sell me a new phone. The reason I purchased this was because it is the same as the one in the office.

My new phone provider bonline is saying the phone cant be used as it is locked or my internet provider doesnt allow this to work

ive been trolling through the internet and I cant find anywhere it saying the phone is lock or can be locked

the phone is compatible to the network

i have also attempted to open up port forwarding but not sure which ports i am suppose to open??

Hello @nhanif ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

I suggest you check our FAQ section for questions around ports etc.

Can you access the phone's web interface and are there no old settings loaded on the phone after a reset?

Phones can be tied to an old service provider and only the old service provider can release them.

Did you figure it out? VoIP is rather complicated. Although both parties claim to be SIP compatible, they might not be compatible to each other. However, on their Webpage, bOnline claims to be compatible with Poly VVX UC.

1. Does bOnline provide instructions like a Provisioning URL?

2. Which Internet Service Provider are you using (in the United Kingdom)?

3. As Steffen asked, are you able to access the admin part (phone interface or Web interface) of your VVX 411?
