How do I set the default outbound call line for the Polycom x410?

Hello @lkp,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Both the community's Must Read First and the community's FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

As a reminder the basic information asked for:

  • Provide the exact Software Version of your Phone
  • Provide the Phone Model
  • Provide the Call Platform (aka openSIP,Skype for Business Online, Skype for Business on Premise, Lync)
  • Additional Polycom Infrastructure (RPRM,PDMS or BToE)
  • If applicable provide a backup of the phone in question

UC Software 4.0.0 or later via the Web Interface Utilities > Phone Backup & Restore > Phone Backup > Phone Backup

  • If possible provide a Log and either attach them or use the Code Tag.Consult the Troubleshooting Section found within the FAQ if applicable
  • If possible provide the MAC Address or Serial of the device
  • Provide details if the issue is a day 1 issue or only happened after an upgrade or any other relevant details

Whilst providing some of these details may not directly impact any possible answer the community can provide, it does enable Polycom to have an overview of the current software used. In addition other details allow us to check logs or look up a potential support partners if an issue needs to come into support. It also enables us to verify the entitlement for using features.

Please ensure you always check the FAQ's and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.

In addition some or a couple of your old post(s) or reply(s) to them => here <= are still open / pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution" or at least provided some form of feedback or answer.

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate ?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilise the community more efficiently. Please do not simply mark them without any type of feedback.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

I am currently using OnSIP (line 1) and VoIP.ms (line 2)

Software: 5.5.2.8571

All I want to know is how can I make line 2 the default line when picking up the handset and placing the outbound call?

HP Recommended

Hello @lkp,

again your answer does not contain the relevant required details and you are using an old and unsupported software. In addition we have not had any feedback on your old post.

Please ensure you always check the FAQ's and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.

Usually the first line is the default line.

Jan 22, 2014 Question: How can I prevent the phone from automatically accessing a line when the Handset is lifted?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

In addition look at the call.stickyAutoLineSeize and call.stickyAutoLineSeize.onHookDialing parameters.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Why is it that Polycom has such a problem handling end user problems? You expect end users to pay hefty fees to get technical support. So in response you come back with condesending messsages. Maybe if your company wasn't so cheap to provide end users the tools to handle these simple issues on their own. My concern isn't complex but you make it one clearly because you have a large ego.

You seem to be more concerned about my previous posts. It's not my job to close previous posts. You are the admin. Do your job.

Hello @lkp,

First of all support is free if a phone in question is within warranty or you purchased an additional service.

Secondly being an Admin is not my job but a hobby as stated clearly in my signature.

If you do not want to follow up old post's then you are not helping the community which will affect everybody.

Posting in the community does not automatically open a service ticket of follow any SLA's so there is nothing to close.

Sweetie OKAY then Close or "Accept as Solution" what difference does this make? All you do is respond with your condesending reponses because I don't pay extra fees for issues. And even when I was within the warranty period you still responded with the same way you are now. Because you have a LARGE ego.

Hello @lkp,

your "previous" post never contained a MAC address for me to:

  1. Check who the relevant reseller would be to help you as Tier 1 Support
  2. Check if the unit is in or out of warranty

You did never post any logs so other community members could try and attempt to help you.

Unfortunately with such a mindset there is not much we can do and try and attempt to help you.

As we seem to be going in circles I will close this post.

Best Regards
