Apoogies if this post is in the wrong area - I'm new here.

I have 12 Polycom VVX400 phones in a small office on two floors. I had "presence" enabled so that we could each see who was on calls on the resepctive floors. Around 2 months ago - an issue arose with the presence funtion enabled whereby we had only one way audio with callers. I had to remove the presence funtion from all the phones to restore two-way audio. One-way audio returns as soon as I try to set up presence again but we really need this function to work as it had done for around ten months without any issues.

Any help would be appreciated since our service provider seems clueless as to how to reslove this.

Hello Steve,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC / Skype for Business server.

If LYNC or Skype please provide Version details and if these are on premise of off premise

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Hello

Thank you for your reply.

The current software version is

UC Software Version

4.1.8.0983

We're using sip.ringcentral.co.uk for our sip server, we don't have a sip server onsite.I did search for similar posts but I couldn't find anything close to the issue we're having.

thanks for your help.

Hello Steve,

I am not aware of such issue and the Software Version you are using is not one of teh currently maintained ones.

I assume that your provider request's you to be on the older 4.1.x builds rathern than the latest 5.5.0 or 5.4.4

Try and reproduce the issue and then open a ticket with your Polycom reseller.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. In case this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
