I'm pretty sure the answer is "no" but I'm wondering if there's a way to prevent DTMF from being sent to the remote party when parking a call.

The park button is pushed, and I am prompted to enter the "orbit" to park the call in. When I do that, the remote party can hear the DTMF tones. It seems to me that the phone knows I'm inputting something locally, so shouldn't generate DTMF at all.

Hello miken32,

it is always useful to at least provide the current software version that is being used with this setup.

In addition are you using a EFK to initialize this functionality or is a standard functionality.

Without providing some info or how you are using the functionality nobody will be able to confirm or disagree.

Best regards

4.0.4, either native or EFK using $FDoNotDisturb$.

Hello miken32,

I am still unsure about your issue as DoNoDisturb has nothing to do with call park.

The UCS 4.0.1 Admin guide shows on page 129 clearly how to setup a Call Park functionality.

I would advise you liaise with your SIP server provider and / or your Polycom reseller for further support.

Best Regards

Well I think I explained myself pretty clearly in the first post; if I accidentally copy-paste $FDoNotDisturb$ instead of $FCallPark$ it doesn't change the question. I'll just continue to assume it's not possible to change this behaviour.

Hello miken32,

again the lack of details makes providing or suggesting a solution rather difficult.

Usually the Park Process built into our software utilizes a Refer with a Refer-To:<sip:callpark@10.252.122.122;orbit=700>

Above is just an example utilizing a test with Asterisk 1.8

An example Park process could manually be initiated by pressing transfer, dialing the park orbit or a a parkext. On Asterisk this is 700 as a default. Once connected to that number Asterisk will audibly respond with the park position.

As an EFK this could look like this:

<park feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1" softkey.1.label="Pars" softkey.1.action="$FTransfer$$Cpause1$$FDialpad7$$FDialpad0$$FDialpad0$$FSoftkey1$$Cpause5$$Changup$" softkey.1.enable="1" softkey.1.precede="1" softkey.1.use.active="1" />

Dialing this park position, example 701, enables to receive this call back.

At no point could I hear any DTMF signaling.

I suggest you contact your SIP server provider and / or your Polycom reseller to get further assistance or support.

Best Regards
