I have the following invite going out to a VVX 500 (Running 5.4.3 release)

INVITE sip:xxx@w.x.y.z SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP a.b.c.d:5060;branch=z9hG4bK266de59e;rport
Max-Forwards: 70
From: "Anonymous" <sip:anonymous@a.b.c.d>;tag=as08e522fc
To: <sip:xxx@w.x.y.z>
Contact: <sip:anonymous@a.b.c.d:5060>
Call-ID: 6cdfaf3c08b61ae03d0ae0131a5e53bd@sip01.fonika.com.au
CSeq: 102 INVITE
User-Agent: a.b.c.d
Date: Mon, 09 May 2016 03:01:08 GMT
Allow: INVITE, ACK, CANCEL, OPTIONS, BYE, REFER, SUBSCRIBE, NOTIFY, INFO, PUBLISH, MESSAGE
Supported: replaces, timer
Alert-Info: <>
Remote-Party-ID: "0123456789" <sip:0123456789@a.b.c.d>;party=calling;privacy=full;screen=no
Content-Type: application/sdp
Content-Length: 278

Despite the privacy field within the Remote-Party-ID field being set to full, the handset continues to display the incoming callers CLI/CID. Why?

Polycom UC Software 5.4.3 Administrator Guide confirms support for the Remote-Party-ID header.

Note that voIpProt.SIP.CID.sourcePreference is default. (ie. CID preference is as per the following order P-Asserted-Identity, Remote-Party-ID, and From header)

Hello @GeorgeN2 and @magicmike

We do not state that we support RFC 2026 in the UC Software Admin Guides but you may want to look at the Polycom ObiHai phones as what I could find internally it seems they seem to support this.

I do not yet have enough experience with them so maybe check with the ObiHai forum.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Im trying to get Name but using P-asserted-identity.

Hi magicmike

I did not end up getting this to work. Instead I reconfigured sip server to replace identity information with 'anonymous' when privacy is requested.
