Hello,

I am completely new to polycom system and i need your help, i have tried to read all the FAQ but i am getting lost, if you can guied me will be very helpful

one of my soundstation IP4000 is not rebooting anymore it used to give an error message Error Loading xxxxxxxxx.cfg i have tried to provision it but it sounds that i did the instructions and the UC Software with higher version 4.1.4. after that it gives a message (Error Application is not present).

then i found the link the one tells which UC version is compatible with my IP4000 (UC Software 3.1.7 ) but i cant fine the configurations steps for this version, should i need to downgrade? can you provide me with the right link of how to provision the IP 4000 ?

PS i have third party Telefon system SIP (Swyxit) but i installed an FTP Server special to provision my Polycom

Best Regards

Hello salisuster,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I setup my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above explains in detail that update depends on the Software Version that is compatible with the type of phone is being used.

The SSIP4000 supports the SIP Software 3.1.8 as latest Version. In addition a BootROM of Version 4.1.4 could be installed.

Both downloaded files need to be unzipped and placed into a directory. The rest is described in detail in the above post.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
