Hello,

I am attempting to provision a soundpoint IP 335 phone I have tried many BootROM and SIP software combinations.  My last combination to fail was the

spip_ssip_vvx_3_2_4B_release_sig_combined.zip and spip_ssip_BootROM_4_3_1_release_sig.zip.  In the boot.log I get the following messages:

Above says all, you are using a wrong File/Image.

Go to the SPIP335 Page and download for example the UCS 3.3.4 or UCS 4.0.2 Rev B and follow the Information.

Hello,

without seeing the whole log and knowing the history I can only guess that it is either a Beta unit or you have a newer Software like UCS 4.0.0 or later installed.

Please be aware that official support needs to be requested via your Reseller, other community Members are more than welcome to follow up further.

Best Regards

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for all the pointers.  I think I did install some beta version along the line when trying to solve my problem.  For those that are interested, I did manage to fix my particular issue by Upgrading and then Downgrading following the steps in this document:

http://supportdocs.polycom.com/PolycomService/support/global/documents/support/technical/products/vo...

Brian

Hello Brian,

thx for the follow up and just to clarify. Beta Phone will not load standard Software and neither will a standard phone run any beta code.

In your case you simply loaded a newer Version of the UCS Version with the relevant Upgrader / Updater and cannot downgrade to a lower UCS / SIP Version without downgrading first.

This is as you already found clearly described in the link you provided.
