Hello,

I am struggling to find specific information as to how I might be able to use the Lync Util script to update  options for a SPECIFIC scope rather than all.  We have 6 mutiple scopes on our DHCP , 3 for data and 3 for voice (so one date and voice scope for each of our 3 floors)

Does anyone know if the Lync Util script loads the options 120 & 43 for all scopes when its executed on the DHCP or whether it can be changed to only load the two options for specific scopes.

I was also looking at option 128 within the data scopes to push the phones on to our voice vlans using the entry VLAN-A=xx;

Does the phone rebroadcast on this voice vlan once picked up before checking options 66,43 & 120 and does the phone check the options 66, 43 & 120 within  the voice vlan scope therefore negating the need for option 66,43,120 to be put in the data scope?

Thanks

Hello Ruspy,

the FAQ post should outline this.

You only require one of the 4 options , whichever is not yet used in your setup.

Hello Ruspy,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

To my knowledge the LYNC DHCP script uses all scopes but this question would be better asked in a Microsoft community.

In regards to VLANS the community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jul 10, 2013 Question: How can I use VLAN's with Polycom phones?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

A usual DHCP Discover requests Option 55 and within ask's for the 4 separate VLAN options we support.

If a phone gets a reply it will do a full DORA again in the VLAN in order to request an IP Address.

Thanks Steffen

So for option 55 would I need to specify 128,43,120,66  ?

or does option 55 work differently

do you need to specify all options you want the device to pick up?
