Hello,

I have configured our provisioning server to include the following values for volume settings retention:

voice.volume.persist.handset="1"
voice.volume.persist.handsfree="1"
voice.volume.persist.headset="1"
voice.volume.persist.usbHeadset="1"
voice.volume.persist.usb.bluetooth.Headset="1"

After the VVX 411 phone I have pulls the XML, I download the XML from the phone itself and there are only 3 entries as follows:

voice.volume.persist.handset="1"
voice.volume.persist.headset="1"
voice.volume.persist.usbHeadset="1"

My question is whether or not there is a limit on the number of entries for the volume retention. I'd like to cover all possibilities of handset, handsfree, and the various types of headsets. Details of the VVX 411 are:

Phone Model VVX 411

Part Number 3111-48450-001 Rev:A

MAC Address 64:16:7F:17:B7:17

UC Software Version 5.4.2.6722

Updater Version 5.6.2.5888

Thanks,

Justin Rampy

Hello Justin,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jan 14, 2015 Question:Finding the default values for configuration parameters for Polycom Phones?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above enables you to check for the standard value.

Example:

<xsd:attribute name="voice.volume.persist.handsfree" type="xsd:boolean">
  <xsd:annotation><xsd:documentation>true/false parameter default 1 (true).</xsd:documentation></xsd:annotation>

Basically setting this via configuration simply sets the same as the standard value and therefore is not shown in a backup.

In comparion:

<xsd:attribute name="voice.volume.persist.handset" type="xsd:boolean">
  <xsd:annotation><xsd:documentation>true/false parameter default 0 (false).</xsd:documentation></xsd:annotation>
