RPIDF Support

Dear Polycom community,


We are deploying more and more presence-based systems.

 

Polycom phones lack a few features compared to other brands. Presence support does not support RPIDF, but seem to implement some sort of msnsubstatus extension instead. Moreover, presence publishing (RFC3903) is not supported.

 

Are there any plans for those features ?

How can we introduce feature requests ?

 

Or perhaps is there something I misunderstand ?

Hello Damien,

the community is not the correct platform to do this. If you are already a partner you should work with your Polycom SE or contact your Polycom reseller to work with Polycom directly.

this is currently, to my own knowledge, not a supported supported.

 

I can only advise you, as already mentioned in my previous replies to yourself, to raise this as a feature request => here <=.

 

Please include the business case for it and the relevant part within the RFC.

Those two features are "important" to be compatible with our next release and offer the best user experience.
