I'm aware that the background and display of the visual+ can be configured via the Trio using the mr.bg.* configuration.  However, I'd like to further configure the display of the visual+ by removing some of the default welcome text.

Specifically the display currently has 2 pieces of text:

"Welcome"

"For instructions on how to show content in this room, tap "Content" on the conference phone."

I've tried changing the corresponding mr.displaystring.*.values on the visual+ device which make reference to the strings above, with no luck.

Is there a way I can get rid of this text?

Hello dtan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

This is currently not possible and I suggest looking out for VOIP-122760 in the next release.

I cannot comment on dates and times for this yet in public.

We are currently running 5.4.5.9188 and I am wondering if the ability to remove this via the UCS server has been implemented. I have read through the Administrators guide (rp-trio-ag-5-4-5-aa.pdf) and do not see any configuration parameters that would give me the ability to remove the dreaded "Welcome    For instruction on how to show content..." text.

Did you find a way to remove it or has Polycom released a way to do it?

Thanks!
