Remove Conference softkey

I am using VVX300 phones and running on UC 5.2.7. I am trying to hide the conference call soft key. I have looked through the device.cfg, feature.cfg, and the site.cfg. I have even tried to add softkey.feature.conference 0. Has anyone else been able to figure this out.

Re: Remove Conference softkey

Hello @rkrick99,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Nov 25, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of a softkey button / use EFK?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

You did not use:

feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1"

Re: Remove Conference softkey

If my reply shows twice , I appologize. I have attached a copy of the config file i am using. I do have the feature.enhancedfeaturekeys.enabled=1 set in the config.

Re: Remove Conference softkey

Hello @rkrick99,

nothing attached and if you want to attach anything please make a backup from the phone as some parameters are case sensitive so do not assume what you added in your config ends up in the phone.

Re: Remove Conference softkey

While searching online I came accross this article:

https://knowledgebase-iframe.polycom.com/kb/viewContent.do?externalId=19740&sliceId=1

If the article is correct than this can be closed

is says: NOTE: The Conference soft key cannot be removed as this does not have a hardware key mapped !

Re: Remove Conference softkey

Hello @rkrick99,

You can't just invent a Parameter like softkey.feature.conference .

The above does not exist and therefore will never work.

In regards to the article you found the EFK FAQ contains the same information.

Re: Remove Conference softkey

Hello @rkrick99,

I played with this a bit further and:

<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
<!-- Disable local conference option -->
<changes>
<config call.localConferenceEnabled="0" />
</changes>

should archive what you are after.
