on my vvx450 firmware 6.3 and 6.4 i see an option for "reset cloud configureation" in the reset defaults section. 

 

what exactly is that resetting? I can find much documentation on it.

I did read that guide before and it didnt help me too much. 

 

I just noticed that the reset cloud config showed up on the new ucs firmwares. I hadnt seen that before. So i wondered what that was/ what exactly it is doing. 

 

is that for resetting stored phone config info when you are using a cloud share instead of a FTP or something ?

yes, it allows you to reset individual settings received via different methods/sources without the need to fully reset the device.
