I work for a small non-profit organization in Chicago.

We recently switched VOIP providers from Comcast to AT&T.

We added two new phones and purchased two new phone numbers from AT&T.

One of the phones we purchased (which were not purchased from AT&T) is registered to 8x8 and the other I am not sure to whom it was registered.

We obviously cannot get into either phones, since they are not registered to AT&T.  I suppose that I have to reset the phone to the factory settings and have AT&T properly register the phones to their VOIP service.

I have checked some of the FAQ on this site and cannot find one that specifically addresses this issue.

Your assistance would be most welcome

Thank you.

Hello Thomas Wendt,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so.

If your phone is still able to connect to the Provisioning server please reset the password via the Device Parameters documented in the Admin Guide or here

The above is also stated in the Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum

If this is not possible please contact your Polycom reseller or the person you purchased the phone from.

We will remove any post replying to this that will publicly explain how to remove the password.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
