SP IP450 - New Message/Light Clears but Immediately Returns

I keep getting a "new message" light and "new message", but there is no message.  


It shows the blinking red light.  I enter the VM system normally, press 1 to play the new message, and it immediately starts rolling through the message options.  I press 7 to delete it.  Then I press end call.  The light continues to blink.  


If I push the Messages button and select the message center, it shows me 1 new message.  If I press clear, all of the telephone icons go to the telephone and the blinking red light stops, but a few seconds later, they all turn to the envelope icon and the system registers a new message.  I have cleared it or deleted the message with the 7 key a dozen times with the same results.  It comes back with a "new message" in just a few seconds.  


How do I fix that?

What PBX are you using?What VM server are you using? I would check your VM server to check that the message is not still stored on there - there may be an issue with the connection between the VoiceMail server and your PBX, also are there any shared lines on the problem phone? Just trying to cover all bases so if there is a shared line it may be that the VM is for another line?


If you can add as much info as you can that would help others to hopefully help resolve the issue...

I added an additional troubleshooting section so you can verify the SIP messaging directly on the phone.


If the phone keeps receiving the NOTIFY with a content of a Message it will keep displaying it.
