Hello,

occasionally (once every 10-20 re-registrations if it gets stale=TRUE each time) SPIP 331 seems to ignore stale parameter and is using old nonce. From what I can find problem was spotted before by asterisk users and is bypassed in asterisk (https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-14123). Still I believe problem is on phone side (in log from asterisk user: phone is retransmitting REGISTER with 41d08600 nonce in spite of receiving 401 reply with stale=TRUE set) and would exist with other registrars or older (< June 2009) asterisk versions.

Hello Tomasz,

it is always useful to post the currently used software version as this could be compared against the release notes.

Looking at the provided link the user in that case used SIP 3.1.2 Software which has been superseded by various other Versions.

The correct way forward is to install the latest supported version (UCS 4.1.0 at present), replicate the issue and provide Logs and a wireshark trace via your Polycom reseller and/or Polycom support.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Looking into logs I can confirm it with 4.1.0.84959 (current?), 4.04.2906, 4.03.7562.

Hello Thomasz,

then this next step is applicable:
