Among different SIP versions, we have some phones that, when calling your own extension number (ex. 200 dials 200), will send that call to the voicemail system, and others that will instead create a second call (i.e. 200 is literally calling 200). Wondering where is the setting to manipulate this? I could not locate it in the documentation. Relevant SIP version that I need to change is 4.0.5.

Hello OrderedChaos,
I can only suggest to check the msg.mwi.1.subscribe and the msg.mwi.1.callBackMode configuration of your backups from a VVX or the Configuration of your older phones.
In addition please verify with your hosted provider that this should be working.

Hello OrderedChaos,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used SIP server or if a LYNC server
I doubt this to be a phone issue and can only suggest to work with whoever has setup your phones.

We use a SIP server, and unfortunately I'm the one that set up our phones as we are a hosted service provider. It is something I noticed when moving from SIP 3.x to SIP 4.1.7 (upgraded to VVXs). Previously I recall I had the ability to call my own ext. to reach vm, but after upgrading it functions such that I get another call on another line appearance. Thank you for the reply.
Edit to add, phone being used is a VVX 300, configured for 2 line appearances, 1 call per line appearance. I was thinking perhaps this could be related to presence in some way?
