Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to setup a default login account for the polycom CX600,

I would like to be able to log out of an account and it auto-login to a default account for the phone.

Cheers

Hello Lachlan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As far as I am aware the CX600 and it's companions only support the current login method and would not automatically default back to another standard Login.

Any changes to this behavior need to be raised with Microsoft.

Another idea would be to utilize one of our SoundPoint / SoundStation / VVX range phones that support => LYNC <= and utilize the User Login Facility (prov.login.defaultUser). Please contact a Polycom Reseller for more details.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Actually this is possible with Lync by using Common Area Phone accounts with Hotdesking.  This feature is not tied to any specific phone, so any Aries-class device (Polycom CX500/600/3000, Aastra, HP) can use this feature to provide for a default account which will always login to a specific device on startup.  A Sign-in key will be displayed to allow another Lync user account to sign in on top of the current account and take ownership of the phone.

After the user signs-out (or the hotdesking timeout is reached an the device automatically sign-out) then the original CAP account will be signed back into the phone.
