I have ~45 SoundPoint IP 430 phones, running SW version 3.2.5.0508.  The phones are connected to a Digium Switchvox IP PBX.  Everything works fine except that the time shown in the display of the phones drift off considerably (from hours to days)  over a period of weeks. This issue can be resolved by rebooting the phones. After reboot they get the correct time.

The configuration on the phones says it uses SNTP to sync the time with the Switchvox. The time on the Switchvox it is always correct and synced to public NTP server.

The time on the phones goes out of whack at different rates.

Has any of you experienced something similar, and/or has any hints on how to resolve it.

Thanks in advance,

Alexis.

Hi Alexis

have you looked at the:

tcpIpApp.sntp.resyncPeriod="X" option in the phone configuration files?

This enables you to set the resync (in seconds) that the phones will resync with the SNTP server specified...

I hope this helps

Cheers

Dave
