Part number: 2345-12450-001 Rev. B

SIP Software version: 3.3.5.0247

BootROM Software Version:  4.1.3.0052

Problem description;

As stated on subject, the problem happen when user attempt to transfer cal that was previously pick up or transferred. This is on Asterisk based platform. So, intially we saw errors like the below;

[Oct 21 13:14:08] NOTICE[3411] chan_sip.c: Call from '1504' (10.222.102.133:5060) to extension '1503' rejected because extension not found in context 'from-internal'.

but we are so sure that local extension '1503' do exist and '902073951511' can be call outside without a problem. On our capture session, it shows it doesn't have the host part.

INVITE sip:902073951511 SIP/2.0

To: <sip:902073951511>

The phone setting on "Number of Line Keys" is 3 and "Calls Per Line" is 8.

Do you encounter similar issue to this problem can you advise we should look into to correct the phone behavoir.

Thanks.

Hello dnacino,

the UCS 3.3.0 Admin Guide describes on page A-60 the following:

Attribute
(bold = change causes
restart/reboot)
Permitted
Values
Default Interpretation
feature.urlDialing.enabled 0 or 1 1 Controls whether URL/name dialing is available from a private line (it is never available from a shared line).
Note: The "url-dialing" feature must be disabled in order to prevent unknown callers from being identified on the
display by an IP address.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello ,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Could you please ensure to provide some feedback to your prior posts?

This does not sound like a Polycom issue.

If you dial a number like 1503 we send this within the INVITE.

Your Asterisk Server clearly states that this extension does not exist in your from-internal context.

I suggest you ask these questions in the Asterisk / Digium community instead.

Best Regards

Hi,

My apologies for sending the feedback on that previous issue. But please can I have your attention on this issue. On your reply, are you suggesting that its ok for SIP phone to send a SIP INVITE with an invalid URI and we expect Asterisk to handle this without a problem? If they are just doing extension to extension call, there is no problem. If they place outbound call there is problem. But when they transfer call that previously pickup that is where this problem happen.

I finaly found what is causing this problem. After picking-up the call and when you hit transfer, the phone switch to URL dialing. So, unless you hit the "number" softkey, the transfer won't work after hitting "Send" button. Can you please suggest which version and configuration need to set to disable URL dialing on Polycom 450. Thanks.
