I have two IP 4000s that I am trying to redeploy after a company shutdown.  I was able to get one working after a little work....My question is, is it normal for both of these phones to literally take over two hours to reboot?  This seems crazy long to me, however, they do come up after this insanely long reboot cycle.

Thanks.

Hello Dan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

All older phones rely heavily on the existence of a boot / provisioning server within the network.

The VoIP FAQ contains the following post:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I setup my Phone / Provisioning / Download Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above post and included follow up links explains how to utilize an FTP server to enable the phone to download a new software and its configuration.

Not knowing if you have already done so I can only suggest to upgrade to the latest available SIP 3.1.8 Software.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
