Hello Raymond.Moore,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Have you had any more luck with this ?

The details below do not indicate the actual software version but I am not aware of any browser related issues with the SSIP6000.

Have a look at this FAQ post here:

Hello, I have received a brand new IP 6000 purchased from Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/Polycom-6000-Bundle-Adapter-Included/dp/B00VXPDLFC

After connecting it to network, the phone went through some application setup and eventually booted up properly. It gets an IP address and I am able to ping the IP address (We have several Polycom phones including other IP 6000 units). However, when I try to access the web URL (IP address) , it does not respond and I do not get a web login prompt. I have tried Chrome and Firefox. I have tried to login to initial boot and do a factory reset, however, it does not take the serial number (MAC address) password. It keeps saying incorrect password. I am familiar how to enter the serial number as password. Also tried 123 and 456. Should I return this unit? I have checked your web site but did not see a step by step solution for this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
