Hi all,
we've got us a SoundStation IP 7000 running the latest firmware 4.0.14.0987.
We'd like to change the language of the Phone (LCD-Screen) to a different language than english.
Selecting a different language (like "Deutsch (de-de)") from the WebGUI from the top-right corners drop-down menu results in an error:
"Failed to download language file from boot server. Do you want to download from Polycom Hosted Server?"
"Failed to download language file."
1017132457|cfg |4|03|Web|[cfgSaProcessRequestC] Failed to download language file from provisioning server, request path Website_dictionary_language_de-de.xml 1017132457|utilm|4|03|uBLFCompressed: File /ffs0/languages/Website_dictionary_language_de-de.xml.zzz does not exist or is empty 1017132457|cfg |4|03|Web|[cfgSaProcessRequestC] Website_dictionary_language_de-de.xml Language file doesn't exist in cache 1017132457|cfg |4|03|Web|[cfgSaProcessRequestC] Website_dictionary_language_de-de.xml Language file doesn't exist in phone flash 1017132525|copy |*|03|Server 'downloads.polycom.com' said 'voice/software/languages/4.0.14/Website_dictionary_language_de-de.xml' is not present 1017132525|cfg |4|03|Web|[cfgSaProcessRequestC] Failed to download language file from hosted server, request path http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/languages/4.0.14/Website_dictionary_language_de-de.xml
The last line lists the URL where the language-file is supposed to be downloaded from, but (as tested from different internet connections) nothing can be found there (404):
http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/software/languages/4.0.14/Website_dictionary_language_de-de.xml
Not Found The requested URL /voice/software/languages/4.0.14/Website_dictionary_language_de-de.xml was not found on this server. Apache Server at downloads.polycom.com Port 80
Where can we download the language file to manually upload them to the phone? Or can the availability of this download-link be restored?
Thanks in advance and best regards
Pabe

Sep 16, 2015 Question:Why am I unable to change the language on a SSIP7000, SPIP670, SPIP650, SPIP560, or SPIP550 without a Provisioning Server running UC Software 4.0.0 or later?
Resolution: A local provisioning server is required as explained in this post => here <=
