Hi All,
I do have an issue with setting up Polycom SoundStation IP 7000. It has never worked before and I am trying to make it work. I tried the DHCP protocol to set it up, which didn't work. Then I disabled it and tried to set it up manually. I still got this error about the line information : SoundStation IP (Not Registered).
Could anyone please tell me where the problem might be?
FYI: I am using Cisco CM Administrator and it looks like it is well registered in there as I can see it in the admin board.
Thanks

Hello Tarek_T,
Polycom manufactures the Cisco 7937 for Cisco which looks exactly like the SSIP7000 but is a different hardware as it run's skinny.
From a Polycom support perspective we have only Interoperability tested the SoundStructure VoIP card and support this product on the CUCM platform.
All our phones are Open SIP phones and are compatible with most SIP servers.
As explained in this post and the linked post our Support Team will only provide support for the SoundStructure VoIP card if any issues are reported.
No other Polycom SIP phone is supported.
As the SoundStructure and the SSIP7000 utilize the same SIP software it is up to yourself to use the deployment guide and successfully register to the CUCM but you will be running an unsupported setup from a Polycom perspective.

Hello Tarek_T,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Please be aware that the Cisco CUCM platform is not supported on any Polycom SIP devices apart from the SoundStructure VoIP card and the End of Life VVX1500 C.

Thanks for your reply. Yet, I find it a bit contradictory to what you said in another post :
"Our technology Partner Cisco has their own range of Polycom Products that are certified for their Platform and a Polycom SSIP7000 would work as any other 3rd Party SIP Device."
The topic can be found here : http://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP/IP7000-will-Call-Manager/td-p/12018
Hence I am a bit lost, is the Polycom SoundStation IP 7000 compatible with the CUCM 8.0.3.21900-8 ? My goal being to be able to assign a phone line to this device and receive/send calls.
Thanks again

Hello Kumar,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
The document => here <= describes in detail how to register a SoundStation IP to a Cisco call manager.
This has been tested and works without known issues.
You have so far not posted your currently used software version so I suggest you upgrade the unit to UCS 4.0.4 if it is not already on this version.
