Hello WAMinTON,

Hello ,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Checking the Headset compatibility list => here <= the following is mentioned:

Plantronics
To use electronic hookswitch, the Savi Office Series models must be equipped with a Plantronics APP-50 cable (Plantronics SKU 38439-01) while the CS Series must be equipped with a Plantronics APP-5 cable (Plantronics SKU 38438-01).

The following models are compatible:

• Savi Office Series (WO100, WO200, WO300, WO350 only)
• CS Series (50, 55, 60, 70N, 261N, 351N only)

I can only recommend to raise this issue with your Headset supplier / manufacturer if this headset & cable is even compatible.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

The APP-51 is the correct EHS cable for the CS540 and 560 Phone  (The APP-51 updated the APP-50 adding the ability for an on-line indicator / busy light).

First: Make sure your EHS cords are plugged into the headset port and not handset port.  This will cause the unit to not take calls remotely as you reported.

Second: Try the manual over-the-air subscription (located on page 20 of user guide). This has helped many customers with CS540 issues with remote operations and re-syncs the base and headset.

According to this Plantronics EHS electronic hookswitch flow chart for wireless headsets, you are using the correct adapter:

http://theheadsetshop.com/plantronics-wireless-headset-hookswitch-technology-ezp-23.html

The Plantronics APP-51 works with only the new cordless systems such as CS540, CS530, CS510, etc.

Double check to make sure you are using the correct auxiliary port on the back of the Polycom Sound Point telephone and connected to the base of the Plantronics, if all checks out I wouldn't hesitate to call Tech Support # (800)544-4660.
