Hi,

I have been asked if it is possible to register a soundpoint IP 330 SIP handset to Avaya Session Manager.

I have searched for previous Devconnect documents and looked on the forums but cannot find anything for the 330. When I try to get the handset to register it fails. I have defaulted the handset and tried starting from scratch but so far I have not had much luck.

The handsets were previously deployed in a hosted solution environment and are on firmware 3.1.2.0392.

If anyone has experience of getting these to work could you let me know please and if there is a document you could point me at that would be brilliant.

Thanks

Martin

Hello martintelephone,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Any officially interoperability testing would have been done directly by Avaya.

The SoundStation product range that has been tested against Avaya is listed => here <=

SoundPoint IP Phones run the same software and should in theory be able to run with an compatible and tested switch but would be classed as unsupported platform.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Thanks Steffen, that is useful information. I will do some testing and post the results.
