Hello community readers, I am trying to setup my new Soundpoint 331 and my 24V PoE Injector is not working.

Right now, I am powering the phone using 24V PoE connected to a DC cable into the DC Port, and instead of that I would like to splice a ethernet cable and wire it correctly to something that the phone would accept

Can somebody tell me what pins/wires the Soundpoint IP 331 uses for PoE? brown and blue?

Hello @Fluffy1 ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Poly phones support the >IEEE 802.3<  standard but I am not sure to give advise to hardwire anything. Please either use an external Power Supply that you can order from a reseller or a PoE Power Injector.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I tried using a 24V PoE injector over a regular Cat6 ethernet cable, but the phone would not power.

I used the same 24V PoE injector to power the phone through the DC Port and it worked.

I got the phone for $4.19 (without stand) from a goodwill, maybe there is something wrong with the PoE abilities?

I checked and the injector was sending 24.5v down blue, blue/white, brown, brown/white wires.
