So I'm having some issues with my SoundPoint IP 331 on Call Manager

I can make phone calls and everything fine I got it to register BUT I can't get it to dial  or page in house calls

Example

Call my other SoundPoint

1234567890

That works fine

Now if I dial just 7890

It says this call could not be completed as dialed.

What is not right? Is there something not configured right for extension dialing on my polycom or is it a setting I need to set in Call Manager and if so what is it? I have tried several guides but nothign explains or mentions Dialing by exenstion. I even checked different Digit Maps as well.

Also the phone has this firmware on it 4.1.1.0731

Hello James_Shaw,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Firstly let me explain to you that the CUCM is not actually a supported Platform for the SoundPoint range.  Only selected SoundStation Phones are supported on the CUCM range as explained here:

Jul 17, 2014 Question:

Can I deploy Polycom® SoundStation® IP Conference Phones with Cisco® Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)

?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Secondly it is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC server

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In addition are you dialing on hook or off hook ?

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Phone unable to Dial a number when Off Hook or on 2nd Call in a Conference

Resolution: Please check => here <=

It maybe a simple Digitmap issue

I suggest you work with Cisco support if teh above does not answer your questions so they can troubleshoot this third party SIP device issue.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Just SIP Server Call Manager

Phone Information
Phone Model SoundPoint IP 331
Part Number 2345-12365-001 Rev:B
UC Software Version 4.1.1.0731
BootROM Software Version 5.1.1.0132

It doesn't work if I call with the reciever or just typing it.

For a example if I wanted to use a extension 8985 how would the digit map look?

4.1.1 is for Lync only as stated in the release notes

4.0.9 is the latest supported version for SIP

The reply given should include information for you to troubleshoot this. Again CUCM is not a supported platfor so please work with Cisco support on this

Ok im on the suggested firmware. I can make external calls but when trying to dial extensions or even dialing 911 it says your call cannot be completed as dialed

Hello James,

to troubleshoot an issue on your CUCM end you need to contact Cisco support.

All I can advise you to follow is this:

Jul 17, 2014 Question:

?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

It may be something as simple as the wrong Calling Search Space but I as a Polycom employee cannot troublshoot your CUCM.

You also still have not answered if you are dialing on hook or off hook ?
