Soundpoint IP 335 shared line

I am trying to add a shared line to an IP 335 phone.  The phone is connected to an NEC SV8100 PBX.  The 2nd line is assigned to an NEC 12 button IP Phone.  If I assign the numbwer to the 335 then it takes over and line 1 does not work. I am not sure if I have a Polycom or NEC issue.

Re: Soundpoint IP 335 shared line

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above leads to an overview of interoperability partners. It does list the UNIVERGE SV8100/ SV8300/ SV8500, Sphericall & ASPIRE-X.

Is the line setup on the Phone end as a shared line?

In addition it is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
