Soundpoint IP 650 - Edge Server Registration

Does the current firmware version for the Soundpoint IP 650 support Edge Server registration.  If not, will this be supported in a future release?  ETA?  I need this feature before I can use NextUC hosted Lync.

Welcome to the Polycom Community.

 

To my knowledge the current Software registers to the Front End LYNC Server. I am not aware of the roadmap for future releases and suggest to work with your Polycom Reseller.

No, only internal server registration (Front End or Director) is supported currently with the 4.0.x release.  A future release will be supporting external registration scenarios but an ETA on the software release is not yet available.
