I have a Polycom Soundpoint IP 501 with the POE, and these have both been new. Not sure why the Polycom Soundpoint IP 501, wont power on

 

All pre-requisites have been met, and the phone isn't powering up.

Hello AlphaDelta,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The SoundPoint IP 501 is being discontinued and will no longer be available for purchase after 08/20/2009.

 

  • What do you mean by all pre-requisite have been met?
    Can you describe what you think these would be?
  • Are you powering these with a simple RJ45 cable from a RJ45 network socket directly to the phone or are you using the 11-foot CAT 5 network cable with power port and have a correct power transformer plugged in?
