recently updated phone firmware from 3.0 firmware to 4.0.5C

 

phones will not register with system unless the file system is formatted...    once this happens, the phone operates as expected.

 

however, if the phone loses power, it will continually reboot (the phone runs the firmware as you would expect..but, will not register until you format the file system again.)

 

any help/guidance would be appreciated.

Hello AppiaBill,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

 

Firstly you should ensure you are running the latest software for the SoundPoint phone using SIP only at present being UCS 4.0.7

 

If the issue still occurs then you would require to troubleshoot this.

Above should help you doing this either via the phones logs or using wireshark. Getting this data can then be forwarded to your SIP provider in order for them to help you.
