So the subject pretty much outlines it.

PSTN side of the call has an extremely tough time hearing the user within the conference room sitting next to the Soundstation 6000. So the RTP coming from the soundstation is the stream with the issue.

RTP traces have been pulled and reviewed at the edge of our VoIP Network (sbc).

PSTN side of the call is heard loud and clear but the stream coming from the Soundstation is extremely faint. Even with the user as close as 8 inches from the Soundstation it sounds like he/she is 10 plus feet away.

This has been reported on multiple soundstation IP's.

Application 3.1.2.

BootRom: 4.1.3

Hello bmurray66,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I would suggest starting to look at flashing a current software on the SSIP6000. UCS 4.0.3 rev F for example and then repeat the exercise.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Thank you for your reply. Before i make such a move, i have close to 200 of these devices in the field. is there a known issue that substantiates your post. I do not doubt it, I just need to advise my management what type of undertaking this will encompass.

Your feedback is greately appreciated.

Hello Brian,

you would need to check the release notes as there are quite a lot of fixes since your level of Software.

Testing and verifying the new software against one phone should not be an issue.

Best Regards

Thank you. Do you a guide, or best practice document for bringing a phone pre -UC release to a UC release?

Thanks,

Brian
