I recently purchased a Soundstation Duo and need some help.  I have an SIP server I need to connect it to, but I don't know where to enter the server address, password, username or anything else.  I'm using a functional SoundStation IP7000 as a reference, but the menus are very different.  Right now, the Duo doesn't have any IP address and is stuck in a constant boot cycle.  Does anyone have any guidance specific to the Duo?  Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply Steffen.  I know my SIP server is compatible because I have a working IP7000 connected to it.  What I can't figure out is how to get my Duo to receive an IP address on my network.  How do I get my DHCP server to see the Duo so that I can configure it?

Hello Naci,

as long as the unit is wired up correctly it should get an IP address via DHCP. To troubleshoot this on site you would need wireshark and a spanned port. This is described in the VoIP FAQ.

I would suggest you contact your Polycom Reseller in order to raise the DHCP issue with Polycom support.

As a workaround to test the network itself please assign a fixed IP to the device.

Best Regards

The Duo looks like it's getting an IP address from DHCP.  If I hold the "About" button during bootup, it will sometimes show me a server address and IP address.  I can ping the IP address, but I can't get at the phone's web config utility if I enter that address in a browser.  I can't even figure out where to enter the SIP server address on the phone itself.  Neither the supporting documents for the phone nor any FAQ I've read provides any guidance about how to use the phone's menu or the menu parameters themselves.

Hello Naci,

I just added example screenshots to the above post.
