Good Afternoon,

 

we received a used Soundstation IP 4000 and I am trying to do a factory reset. '456' works as the user password, but once I get into Advanced Settings, my only options are "Change User Password" and "Reboot Phone". I don't see "Admin Settings", so I can't do a factory reset that way. Is this a setting in the phone's config file from its previous owner?

 

If I try restarting the phone with 6,8,* pressed, I can get to the login, <removed by the moderator> and I have no way of knowing what else it may be.

Hello Comcate,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so.

Please contact our your Polycom reseller .

We will remove any post replying to this that will publicly explain how to remove the password.
