Hi,

 

I have a Soundstation IP 5000 that cannot get an ip on dhcp. I tried resetting multiple times with no succes. My others Soundstation IP 5000 all work except for this one. I do not have a provisioning server.

 

Please help me!

Welcome to the Poly Community.

  • Are all the devices run the same software?
  • Can you assign a manual IP?
  • Is this the same network/subnet?
  • Does another IP5000 work on this network connection?
  • What is the history of the device aka is this brand new?

  • What is the history of the device aka is this brand new? Not new, but never used before.

 

I tried to update from Polycom server and I get this error: Cannot contact boot server following Error, application is not present.

From our FAQ:

 

Sep 27, 2012 QuestionI get the message “Error application not present / Application not Found” on my phones screen

Resolution: Please check => here <= or => here <= and ensure you are not using a TFTP server

 

It sounds like you wiped the software of the device.

 

Please follow the above and update to the latest supported version UC Software 4.0.15

I setup the ftp with all the files and pointed the Soundstation IP 5000 to it. It's not working. I still don't have lan activity, even with static ip on.

We will have to assume the unit is defective. For further testing, you would need to open a ticket.

 

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support. Available End User Poly services offerings are detailed here

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here
