On all our phones there looks to be a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom right.  I can't find in the documentation on what this port is used for nor does it show any icon on the phonesets indicating a hint.

Can anyone tell me if it actually does anything?

I am not talking about the back of the phone, those RJ9/11 ports are clearly marked and understandable, it is on the bottom right bezel portion.  There is a small round hole similar to those 3.5mm jacks for headphones.

However, I just figured it out now as we had a dead unit that I opened up and discovered that it's actually the microphone for the speakerphone option and you can't actually plug anything in there.

Hello @Convergint,

welcome back to the Polycom community.

Your old post => here <= is still open / pending as you have not marked it either as "Accept as a solution" or at least provided some form of feedback or answer.

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate ?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilise the community more efficiently.

For your new question Polycom phones usually have a RJ11 connector which is clearly marked via an Icon for the headset. I am unsure if this is some aftermarket addition or anything else.

A photo may help but it is nothing an end user could use..

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
