I am new to Polycom conference phones we were using Cisco 8831 phones. We are using Cisco CUCM version 10.5.2.1 and the IP 7000 is not displaying the correct time. The date is correct and both date and time are not flashing. The SNTP server is set to north-america.pool.ntp.org and the time zone is GMT -6 Central Time USA and the SNTP Resync period is 86400. These phones were installed two days ago. Thanks,

Hello @telcom34,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

It would be great if you could provide in addition some kind of details if this for example simply does not display the correct time zone or if the time is totally off.

Phone Info: Model Soundstation IP 7000, part number 3111-40000-001 Rev: P, mac address 64:16:7F:06:29:6F, UC software 4.0.2.11307, BootRom Software version 5.0.2.12692. The time is now 12:40P and the both phones have 6:40PM.

You are using an unsupported software. Please upgrade to UC Software 4.0.13

The Phone in question was sold via NETXUSA back in 13/10/2016 so if you struggle they can support you.


End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

We returned the IP 5000 and IP 7000 phones because we could not download the software to the phones using FTP. We are looking to purchase the Soundstation Duo is there a particular software issue that we need to have these phones for our Cisco CUCM version 10.5.2.1?
