HI,

I have a Ip 6000 that I just got up and working. This is a new unit that the customer just bought about a week or so ago. It has version 3.2.4.0267 installed.

My issue is when I connect an IP6000 into my Network switch, which is a Cisco 2960S the polycom keeps rebooting pulling 9.87 watts. I could not log into the unit to program or set programming on the unit through the menu button. This is a POE switch so I was counting on the POE to run the polycom.

1. When I plug the supplied power that came with the unit, not plugged into the switch it did not power on.

2. When I plugged it into the switch with out the supplied power it keeps rebooting.

3. When I turned off the power on the port the IP6000 was plugged in and used a external power source (PowerDsine 7001G) over Ethernet it works fine.

Now when I remove the external power and force the port to 15.41 watts it works fine "I have another polycom IP6000 on a Cisco 3560 and that is the watts it is pulling with no problem" that's why I used the 15.41 watts. We are an all VOIP environment and move phones around. When I force a port to the right watts this limits me to move this unit around. Why is it not pulling more then the 9.87 watts to run this polycom. Hope this all makes sense.

Chris
