I have a Polycom Soundstation IP7000, when on an active call and I initiate a conference call by dialing and connecting another call, i dont get the option to join the two calls. The initial call is place on hold while I connect to the other call and after I connect to the other call I can switch between calls putting one or the other call on hold but I cannot join the two calls. What am I missing?

thanks

Hello twaymer,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Depending on the software version that is installed the usage may vary.

On a SSIP7000 running the latest UCS 4.0.6 dialing the other party, and once connected, shows the conference softkey.

Pressing this provides you with a new dialtone and you can dial the second party.

Once connected to the second party you simply press conference and you are all connected to each other.

In attempting what you just described, when the second party is connected and I press the conference soft key, the phone shows me that all parties are connected but the first party remains on hold and is never connected to the conference. Any ideas?

Here is my stats

Label: SIP

Version: 3.3.3.0069

thanks

Hello twaymer,

this seems to be a signaling issue and the far end seems to not respond to the re-invite.

The community's VoIP => FAQ <= contains this post here:

Jan 19, 2012 Question: How to troubleshoot Polycom VoIP related Issues?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

I would also suggest you update your software to something more current?

I would also try and contact your SIP provider so they can help you troubleshoot this.
