Hello all,

I have added an explanation to the community's VoIP FAQ post here:

Nov 4, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of an Hardware Button?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The new Option 4 explains this functionality and you will need to verify the availability with the currently installed software.

This does not directly enable a number to be stored with a pause and uses the efklist as a workaround in conjunction with the local directory.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Bump.

Can someone post of video on how to achieve this? I know there's a faq explaining it, but it's not very user friendly. I'm on VVX 600.

Has this been resolved yet?  It seems to me that a comma (pause) is just standard phone system functionality.  Every single phone I've ever used has this.  How to do this with Polycom hard phone?  Without having to change some technical random setting inside the phone gutts.

Hello @Denni,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Both the community's Must Read First and the community's FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

As a reminder the basic information asked for:

  • Provide the exact Software Version of your Phone
  • Provide the Phone Model
  • Provide the Call Platform (aka openSIP, Skype for Business, Lync)
  • If applicable provide a backup of the phone in question
  • If possible provide a Log and either attach them or use the Code Tag. Consult the Troubleshooting Section found within the FAQ if applicable
  • If possible provide the MAC Address or Serial of the device
  • Provide details if the issue is a day 1 issue or only happened after an upgrade or any other relevant details

Whilst providing the answers to the above may not directly impact any possible answer the community can provide, it does enable Polycom to have an overview of the current software used in the field.

Please ensure you always check the FAQ's and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.

May 02, 2018 Question: Can I add a Pause into a Speed Dial?

Resolution: Only the Polycom Trio supports this at present as explained => here <=. Check current Trio Admin Guides for more details.

Jan 03, 2013 Question: How can I request a change to the current Polycom SIP / UC Software?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
