Dear all,

I am running FreePBX server and I would like to register an extension/line through TLS. I could do so with other (soft) phone but not my Polycom vvx 250. I selected the Transport as TLS and I tried different settings in Settings > Network > TLS including Common Name Validation (un)checked, Minimum TLS Version, different TLS Profiles but no luck. I keep getting Server certificate verification failed. In my FreePBX I have Verify Client / Server set as No.

I reviewed the post here. I should also note that we are using third part SSL and not self signed cert.

I have been working on this for few days now and I appreciate some help.

Best

Hello @Moussa ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

The referenced FAQ post also contains troubleshooting steps. The next action would be to open a ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Thank you @SteffenBaierUK,

My phone MAC Address is 64:16:7F:57:A3:0C and Part Number is 3111-48820-001 Rev:B

I looked at the cost for PPI and it is way more than the cost of the phone. Hope my phone is within warranty.
