Hi everyone,

Does anyone facing this kind of problem? I bought 3 TRIO 8800 and all three having issues on Touch Display.

You can see the Video attached.

I opened an RMA, and the replacement equipment came with the same problem.

Is that serious? Some equipment has this accuracy a little less deficient and another more deficient. Is this a critical problem?

Regards,

Ricardo.

Hello rferraz,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Can you repeat this test with the lights off ?

I had a customer where fluorescent lights in a room had a transformer wrongly installed which only affected the Trio.

Other wireless touchscreen devices did not suffer from this but as the Trio is connected to the wiring in the building one way or another it affected the Trio.

Hello @HugoExceptOnFire,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Please get this into support.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi there,

Just experincing the same problem with a simular set with one of our customers. In this case it is only one room where this problem occurs. Plug in the unit in another room all is OK. Plug another unit in the affected room and the problem is there. Changed out the switch, wiring and shut down the lighting.

Issue remains. Any suggestions?

Thanks in Advance

Hello hswiers@avex.nl,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

If the units only fail in one room but are powered by PoE from the same switch I would try and connect them with a long cable from the Room they work in and verify it's a different switch.

Most likely some swapped Neutral / Phase issue.

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for your fast reply. We'll give that a try tomorrow as I'm off site further today. We've also tried to connect the phone to the uplink of the switch in the room. And were still having the issue.

Tomorrow we'll connect is from the other room with a long cable and try to connect it to the core switch and check the powerlines to see if the issue persits.

Kind regards, Hans Swiers
