I have bunch of Polycom 650 phones all with at least one attendant module on them and some with two attendant modules where the units with two attendant modules are missing the soft-key for transfer unless they place the current call on hold and pick it right back up (which causes the soft-key transfer button to appear and be usable).

The same applies to the physical "Transfer Button" on the 650 where it doesn't work unless the call is placed on hold and picked right back up.

If I take a spare attendant module and place it on any phones with a single attendant module (making the 650 have two attendant modules) they reproduce the issue as well.  As well as if I take the second module off any phone the issue goes away.

I upgraded the phones to 4.0.5 Rev C and the issue still persists.   Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hello Aeudian,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Is this something that only failed recently ?

If yes I would suggest to downgrade to the last known software and then take a wireshark trace to compare this with the non working scenario.

The community's VoIP => FAQ <= contains this post here:

Jan 19, 2012 Question: How to troubleshoot Polycom VoIP related Issues?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above contains several scenarios on how to troubleshoot this using the logs or wireshark.
