Dear forum members,

I just discovered this forum after have spent some time on my own with our new Trio 8800 setup.

I'd be thrilled if you could help me out with this issue - or rather tell me, whether it is one at all.

We use only the Trio right now, no Visual+ and camera are connected yet. It's the "normal" version, no Skype. It runs on the latest firmware (5.9.1, released on November 18th).

All handeld landline phones are paired via Bluetooth, same as the smartphones of some of the people in the office. Using it as a better quality speaker and microphone of these was the main reason for the purchase.

Now that all has been set up, I noticed this:

We always disconnect phones via the Bluetooth menu after a call.

But it appears that when a paired (but not connected) phone answers an incoming call, the Trio and phone connect, with no human interaction. This is bad for several reasons.

First, because connecting it during a call only switches the speaker to Trio, but the used mic remains the one on the phone.

Second, we plain don't want that, it's stupid.

Disabling Bluetooth on the Trio doesn't really help. We once wanted to initiate a call, enabled Bluetooth, but then another phone rang and connected to the Trio.

So my question is:

Is this the normal behaviour that has to be expected?

If so, can it be changed somehow?

We'd really love to make good use of this device, but as it is now, it's just useless due to this.

Thanks in advance for all your ideas

Oliver

Hello @baertigerwolf ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

The quickest way to confirm this would be by opening a support ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

They also can get you on our BETA as we adding Bluetooth related features in the next release that may improve your experience.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
