Hi all,

we upgraded two Polycom Trio 8800 to 5.9.1.10906 in order to be able to daisy-chain them.

That went fine but since then we notice lags in the software and DTMF not being recognized properly anymore after the phone runs for a couple of days. Once the phone is restarted everything works fine again for some time. It is registered via SIP.

Is there propably any known issue with this firmware which might cause the lagy/slow behavior?

Which firmware version would be recommended to resolve mentioned issue?

Best Regards

Stefan

Hi @Wenharts,

why don´t you use newest software version 5.9.2.7553? I would install this one and try again.

Hello @Wenharts

as advised I would always suggest using the latest software prior to anything.

Another approach would be to use the scheduled reboot event so the phone is "fresh" every day. You can use this CFG:

<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
<!-- Enable a scheduled reboot-->
<!-- prov.scheduledReboot.enabled Default = 0 -->
<!-- prov.scheduledReboot.periodDays min 1 max 365 default 1 For a daily reboot use 1-->
<!-- prov.scheduledReboot.time min length 5 max length 5 default "03:00" -->
<!-- prov.scheduledReboot.timeRandomEnd min length 0 max length 5 default "" 24 hour time format(HH:mm)-->
<changes>
<test  prov.scheduledReboot.enabled="1"
	prov.scheduledReboot.periodDays="1"
	prov.scheduledReboot.time="03:00"
	prov.scheduledReboot.timeRandomEnd="04:00" />
</changes>

The next step would be opening a support ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support. Available End User Poly services offerings are detailed here

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
