Trio 8800 - 5.9.0.10869

VisualPro - 6.1.9-500016 (currently waiting for Upgrade Key Code in Order to go to 6.2.1)

Hi,

I am currently installing a Polycom Trio with Visual Pro and an Eagle Eye Producer.

Everything works fine (including tracking). However, I cannot find information on how to set the angle for the EEP camera. By default it's pointed downwards.

With Group Series, it's done with the remote control (as defined in the Setup Sheet for the EEP). But VisalPro get's shipped without a remote. The Setup sheet says NOT manually adjust the camera.

How can the camera angle be adjusted?

Thanks in advance,

Martin

Hello @mvonderforst ,

I checked this internally and you should order this with a separate remote:

2215-69791-001

EagleEye Producer for EEIV-require GS 4.2 or later.Includes EEP system,1 mini-HDCI to HDCI cable,1 mini-HDCI(f) to HDCI cable,power supply,cord:AMER-Type B,NEMA 5-15.Maint. contract required.If used w/ Trio VisualPro-Remote 2201-52757-001 REQ.

If you have a lab system you can use that remote.

Hello @mvonderforst ,

welcome to the Poly Community.

Usually, Camera related settings are exposed via the Trio Camera Menu:

The above example is when using the Poly Studio in sandbox mode.

Hi Steffen,

Thank you for the fast response.

To be clear: I am not trying to adjust the "EagleEye IV 12x" camera, but the wide angle camera of the EEP itself.

I looked through the documentation some more, and found something in the Group Series Admin Guide. It refers to the process as "calibrating" the room view with two options on how to do it:

1. Manually: (as described in the EEP Setup Guide) with a (Group Series) remote control

2. Automatically: via the web interface in the Camera Settings "Automatic Image Calibration"

This is taken from the Groups Series Admin Guide, but I am guessing it would be the same for the Visual Pro. I will hopefully be at the customer again some time next week and update if the automatic calibration works.

Still, this would mean, that there is no way of manually callibrating the EEP when using a Visual Pro. (While there is an option in the Trio camera preferences to switch tracking on and of [amongs loads of other camera settings: brightness, white balance, etc.] there is no option to calibrate the EEP there)

Would taking a Group Series Remote Control (i.e. from a lab system) allow us to manually calibrate the EEP?

Shouldn't there be a way of manually calibrating the EEP for the described Scenario? Maybee in the Camera Preferences on the Trio...

Thank you once more for the fast response. And As I said, I will be updating the thread once I tried configuring "Automatic Image Calibration"

Best regards,

Martin
