I am no expert when it comes to these phones or FTP servers so hopefully you guys can help me out.  I looked through the FAQ and didn't really see an answer to my issue, although I did learn a lot about the functions on these phones.  I set up an IP 6000 around a year ago and using the web interface I can see that that the polycom is using UC: 4.0.1.13681.  I just received an IP 335 to test and mess around with as a possible alternative to our current deskphones.  When I set up the IP 6000 we put the software on the FTP server and simply input the credentials to allow the phone to pull from the server.  I attempted to do the same thing with the IP 335 and I am running into issues.  I also am unable to access the web interface for the IP 335 from the phones IP address.  Is this as simple as adding the software for this phone onto the server? I'm pretty sure the IP 335 is compatible

TLDR;   Set up IP6000 last year over FTP, it works.  Tried to do the same with an IP 335, it does not

Thanks!

Hello finzwake,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

All our phones behave the same way when setting up and using for example FTP.

The details you have provided are not sufficient enough to help you troubleshooting so I advise you to contact your Polycom reseller who sold you the device as they are your tier 1 support or can raise a ticket for you with Polycom support.

Alternately you can utilize the search functionality or as already mention the FAQ as this topic has been extensively discussed already.

Other community members are welcome to reply but if individual step by step support for an end customer is required the above outlined scenario is the only official way to gain support.

If the Unit is outside warranty PPI may be applicable as described in the FAQ.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
